Reqorder has gained a lot of new capabilities this year. From bringing AI-generated materials into your workspace to comparing document versions and keeping up with team changes, these updates make everyday work with shared knowledge easier.
Here is a look at the updates announced so far in 2026.
AI assistance, inside your documents and beyond
The built-in AI assistant now supports two ways of working: a chat and an inline chatbot. The inline assistant can use saved skills—documents kept in a project named AI skills—so you can reuse instructions for recurring tasks.
Reqorder also supports read-only access through MCP. Connected AI assistants can read text documents and project plans, search document text, and retrieve links to documents and other objects. This integration provides a way to bring Reqorder content into conversations with an AI assistant without giving it the ability to edit that content through these tools.
Bring Markdown, tables, and diagrams into Reqorder
You can now import Markdown documents individually or in batches. This makes it easier to bring in existing documentation or materials prepared with an AI assistant.
Pasting with Cmd + V has also expanded to support Markdown code, PlantUML diagrams, and tables copied from Excel, Word, HTML, and other sources.
For diagrams, upload a .puml file as you would an image. An Edit button lets you update the PlantUML code behind the diagram.
These changes shorten the path from an idea or an external document to structured content in your workspace.
More capable tables and a smoother editor
Tables now support formulas and row filters, along with a floating table header, row copying, and copying entire tables. You can also navigate through documents and tables using the arrow keys.
A cursor between blocks makes it easier to insert content where you need it—including adding a paragraph after a table.
Other editor improvements include:
- Editing and removing links directly in the text.
- A smoother workflow for adding external links.
- Color variants for callout icons.
- Editing and deleting notes.
Document history and named versions
Document history lets you see what changed and compare versions. Open history using the clock button next to your name; it appears in a separate pane. Select two versions to highlight the differences between them.
You can also give a version a name to mark a meaningful point in the document’s development. As described in the release announcement, naming a version collapses the preceding intermediate versions in the history.
Find the right information faster
Text search now reaches across documents, including document content at the workspace level. You can broaden a query using OR, limit a search to a specific location, and filter changes by a selected period.
Breadcrumb navigation makes it easier to understand where you are and move back through the hierarchy.
Comments have their own filtering interface: narrow a discussion by author and time period when you need to review feedback or follow up on a particular round of comments.
Keep up with changes on your terms
A dedicated subscription management screen brings your subscriptions together in one place. It is easier to review both regular and automatic subscriptions without looking through separate parts of the workspace.
In your profile, you can configure a daily or weekly email digest of changes to the objects you follow.
Easier collaboration and more control over views
Users now receive invitations when they are granted access. Automatically created users are prompted to change their password.
Project settings also include a tab configuration interface. For access granted to a fixed view, cloning is restricted. Document view filtering has received fixes, and the view compiler now supports the exact modifier.
Better translation and export workflows
Automatic translation has received improvements to style transfer and link restoration, along with an Approve all translations action.
Markdown export now represents requirements as H6 headings, and comments can be exported as well.
A workspace that fits your preferences
New color schemes include a dark theme and variations on the familiar black-and-red design.
The releases also include fixes for document view filters and for links created when copying or cloning documents.
